Air Separation

One way of classify mixed wastes is by its weight, and air separation is one of the most efficient way and cost effective to do so.

Air is introduced underneath the stream of wastes in an adjustable angular pattern.  Lighter portions like plastic is blown up and conveyed over a rolling drum to a lighter fraction conveyor.  The heavy part falls down on chute and conveyed out.
